Selena Gomez says that she might be leaving the recording studio for good in the near future.

The pop singer, actress, producer, and activist opened up about her frustrations over her music career especially as she's grown older.

"It’s hard to keep doing music when people don’t necessarily take you seriously," she said in her cover interview with Vogue. "I’ve had moments where I’ve been like, 'What’s the point? Why do I keep doing this?'"

She particularly talked about her hit single, "Lose You to Love Me", and the reaction that she received.

"'Lose You to Love Me' I felt was the best song I’ve ever released, and for some people it still wasn’t enough. I think there are a lot of people who enjoy my music, and for that I’m so thankful, for that I keep going, but I think the next time I do an album it’ll be different," she continued. "I want to give it one last try before I maybe retire music"

When asked to talk about it further she said, "I need to be careful," and noted that she wanted to spend more time producing and "give myself a real shot at acting."

Selena is set to release her first Spanish-language EP, Revelación, on March 12. She's also been filming her new series, Only Murders in the Building, in New York City and is also an executive producer. Her cooking reality series, Selena + Chef, just came back for a second season. Needless to say, Selena has definitely been busy lately and we can't imagine how she does it all.
