There's no denying that Selena Gomez's breakout show, Wizards of Waverly Place, is one of the elite sitcoms from Disney Channel's golden era. The show, which ran from 2007 to 2012, followed a family of wizards in their New York-based sub shop as they learned how to master their magic powers. Throughout WOWP's run, the cast grew to be as close as a real-life family.

In the fourth episode of PodCo's Wizards of Waverly Pod, hosted by OG cast members Jennifer Stone and David DeLuise (who played Alex Russo's BFF, Harper, and dad, respectively), they reminisce on shooting the show together with Selena as a special guest. Jennifer and David even recalled a time when Sel would write the initials of her crushes at the time on the back of the set.

Ahead of this mini Wizards reunion, fans had previously called Selena out for not keeping in touch with her former castmates. The 30-year-old "Calm Down" singer revealed that she regrets drifting apart from them and that it's one of her "biggest mistakes."

"I felt ashamed of the decisions that I made [after the show]. I didn't want you guys to see me in the state that I was in, because A, you would have told me the truth, which terrifies me, and B, I didn't want to let you down," Selena dished to David and Jennifer.

"I appreciate you saying that too because to be perfectly blunt, there have been times where I'm like, ‘Did we stop being friends because I didn't tell her what she wanted to hear?'" Jennifer responded.

Selena went on to say that her time on Wizards was when she felt "happiest" because of the relationships she built with her cast members and the "pure" nature of being on set.

"I felt like I was the happiest I'd been in my whole life," Selena shared. "I don't want that to be a sad thought because I'm grateful and happy, but it was definitely the happiest times for me. And I recognize that, obviously, it's because I have this different attention on me that I just didn't have then and that was a really pure time."

Hopefully, we get to see many more Wizards reunions down the road. If you haven't already, catch the full episode of Wizards of Waverly Pod with guest Selena Gomez below.
