Selena Gomez, Instagram's most followed celeb with 103 million followers, made her return to the platform yesterday for the first time since August 15. She came back with a 'thank you' and some words of encouragement for her fans:

"I have a lot to be thankful for this year," she wrote. "My year has been the hardest yet most rewarding one yet. I've finally fought the fight of not 'being enough'. I have only wanted to reflect the love you guys have given me for years and show how important it is to take care of YOU. By grace through faith. Kindness always wins. I love you guys. God bless."

The post echoes the points she made in her speech at the American Music Awards last weekend, her first public event since announcing she was taking time off to deal with her anxiety and depression from lupus at the end of August.

"I'm not trying to get validation nor do I need it anymore," she told the audience. "All I can say from the bottom of my heart is I am so grateful that I have to opportunity to be able to share what I love every single day with people that I love and I have to say thank you so much to my fans because you guys are so damn loyal and I don't know what I did to deserve you. But if you are broken, you do not have to stay broken. And if that's anything whether you respect me or not that's one thing you need to know about me is that I care about people."

Gomez's Instagram post has already racked up 2.6 million likes, including ones from Lily Aldridge, Bella Hadid, and Adriana Lima. Lima appears to have commented on it too: "I see you[r] light, I see your pure heart. I will always send positive energy. You deserve the best. You got my support," the model wrote.

Gomez's final Instagram post in August was from the aftermath of her Instagram spat with ex Justin Bieber. She posted a couple photos of herself with her fans (perhaps low-key trolling given Bieber's drama with fans then) after commenting on his Instagram with then-girlfriend Sofia Richie. Her last photo of herself lying on the stage was posted 15 days before she canceled the rest of her Revival Tour to focus on her health.
