Selena Gomez Loudly Declares Her Relationship Status at a Soccer Game

Selena Gomez unabashedly shared her relationship status.

The Only Murders in the Building star made a TikTok in which she's seen sitting in a soccer field, watching a casual game at the park with friends. The players caught her eye, prompting her to let them know she's available: "I'm single!"

She additionally shouted, "I'm just a little high maintenance! But I love you soooo much!" A friend recording the video is heard cracking up as the Disney Channel alum made her interest known. The players were unfortunately focused on the match, not paying attention to the famed multi-hyphenate's flirting. Gomez captioned the TikTok, "The struggle man lol."

TikTok star Chris Olsen could relate, joking, "I was just saying this yesterday." Perez Hilton could also identify with the struggle, commenting, "Relatable!!!" Meanwhile, TikToker Estefania Saavedra pointed out that Gomez may have inadvertently created the next viral audio clip on the app, writing, "This sound has so much potential! 😂😂😂😂."

Gomez's declaration of her relationship status comes a few months after she was rumored to be dating Zayn Malik. A TikTok went viral where someone alleged seeing the "Lose You To Love Me" singer making out with the former One Direction member. She was also linked to The Chainsmokers member Drew Taggart at the beginning of the year.

In a November 2022 profile with Rolling Stone, Gomez shared that she envisioned herself getting married in her mid-20s. "I grew up thinking I would be married at 25. It wrecked me that I was nowhere near that—couldn't be farther from it. It was so stupid, but I really thought my world was over," she admitted.

Gomez also said in the interview that when she turned 30, she decided to turn her birthday bash into a marriage ceremony for herself. "I thought I'd be married by now, so I threw myself a wedding."
