Selena Gomez liked The Weeknd’s Instagram post, and the internet can’t handle it

It’s an exciting week for celebrity gossip if you’re a Selena Gomez fan. Ready for the latest news? Recently, Gomez liked one of the Weeknd’s Instagram photos. It’s especially ~of interest~ in light of the fact that she’s basically back together with her ex, Justin Bieber.

Since we all know that breakups can be rough, and we also all know that the codes of social media post-relationship are many and complicated, it’s a little surprising to see this engagement from ex to ex! But we super appreciate this little indicator that Selena and The Weeknd are still on good terms.

It’s extra nice to see a bit of like action considering we know that The Weeknd unfollowed Gomez’s family and friends after their breakup. This obvs doesn’t necessarily mean they were ever on bad terms. When you break up with somebody, sometimes you just need some space and time without them all up on your feeds reminding you that you just went through a breakup. And since we sort of imagine the music industry isn’t that big, it’s nice to see that they’re at least social media pals.

And although it’s probs just a sign that Selena and The Weeknd have a healthy relationship following their split, the internet is really losing it over this one.

But mostly, people are just glad Gomez seems happy.

Whether you’re on Team Justin and Selena (aka Jelena) or Team Selena and the Weeknd (is there a portmanteau for that?), we can all agree that we just want Selena Gomez to be happy. So hopefully this Instagram like is just a sign that she’s secure in all of her relationships, whatever they may be.
