Selena Gomez Legit Stuns as a First-Time Nominee at Tonight’s Golden Globes

Selena Gomez just sent the entire Twittersphere (and quite possibly the world) into a spiral after she arrived ARRIVED at the 2023 Golden Globes...and it's easy to see why. I mean, look at her!!!

The purple dress complete with billowing sleeves is Valentino, TYVM, and beautifully complements her plum purple eyeshadow and simple nude lip.

The night is especially meaningful for Sel, as it marks her first-ever time at the event as a nominee. In a “rapid fire” TikTok interview back in December with makeup artist Mikayla Nogueira, the actor gushed over being selected as a contender in the Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series Comedy or Musical category for her role as Mabel on Only Murders in the Building. “Oh my god,” she exclaimed before adding, “I'm so excited. I didn't think I was gonna get—actually, I know I wasn't gonna get nominated, or I thought. But I'm happy.”

More recently, the celeb has been living up up, ringing in the new year in a glittery chic mini dress in Cabo. Twinning alongside Nicola Peltz, the “My Mind & Me” singer wore a custom Valentino piece (sensing a theme here!!) with sky-high PVC heels and classic updos. Not gonna lie, their 'fits put my pj look to absolute shame, but I'm not even mad about it lol.

Around the same time, a source revealed to Entertainment Tonight that the Only Murders in the Building star was feeling “optimistic” about her love life in the coming months. “Selena is feeling positive and optimistic,” the insider confessed. “She is open to dating.” 2023 🤝🏻 The year of Selena Gomez.
