It's the year of the bob, and Selena Gomez is keeping it alive. The multihyphenate has been trying new things as of late—chrome nails, Moulin Rouge-inspired makeup, and micro-French manicures, to be exact. Now, after celebrities like Megan Fox, Saoirse Ronan, Lady Gaga, and more have all made shorter hair their thing, Gomez is trying the hairstyle as well, getting on the bandwagon in the biggest way possible.

On October 4, the Rare Beauty founder hosted the inaugural Rare Impact Fund Benefit event in Los Angeles, where she made her short hair debut. But, if you thought showing up to her brand's biggest nights in a fresh lob was enough drama, just wait till you see her three outfit changes.

The new cut made its debut on the red carpet along with a sparkling silver dress. Gomez's hair skimmed her shoulders, and was pin-straight with a middle part. She tucked the right side of her dark brown hair behind her ear to show off her opulent silver earrings. The lob had subtle framing strands around her face, but for the most part, it was an even blunt cut all the way around.

Her first dress of the night was a long, trailing maxi dress that was always a few steps behind her. The gray fabric was covered in glittering silver rhinestones and featured a giant rose at the neckline of the dress. She added some simple silver rings to accessorize, and glittering silver nails completed the look.

She made a second appearance on red carpet, switching her maxi dress for an ultra-mini dress shaped like a giant purple flower. One shoulder was higher than the other, and the bottom hemline was slightly slanted around her upper thigh. The dress was made up of large purple "petals" covered in shiny sequin in various shades of the color. Strappy silver heels and the same earrings as her first look were the finishing touches on the outfit.

The floral theme continued when Gomez made her way inside to host the event. A mini dress like her last look, this one had long sleeves and a short turtleneck. The black velour fabric was covered in flora and fauna. Her shoulders had some large, various green leaves across them, and one of her arms had a big pink flower. Her waist features a huge zebra on top of even more tropical plants. The same earrings, rings, and nails as her red carpet moments completed her final look of the night.
