Selena Gomez Hints at Her Relationship with Justin Bieber in a TikTok Comment

Selena Gomez reacted to a fan's TikTok video reflecting on her experience during her on-again-off-again romance with Justin Bieber.

TikTok user @donttellmymomma.fr compiled paparazzi photos of the Only Murders in the Building actress during the period in which she dated Bieber, as well as a screenshot of an Instagram comment in which she suggested that Bieber would "rather [date] models]" and that she was "too normal" for him. Over the photos, the TikTok user wrote, "The reason why Selena is always skinny when she dates Justin."

Gomez left a comment on the video, simply adding, " 😔."

Gomez and Bieber dated on and off from 2010 to 2018. Months after they broke up for good, the "Peaches" singer married model Hailey Baldwin.

In her Apple TV+ documentary, Selena Gomez: My Mind & Me, Gomez opens up about the transformative effect that their breakup had on her.

"Everything was so public," Gomez says in the documentary. "I felt haunted by a past relationship that no one wanted to let go of. Then I just moved past it, and I wasn't afraid anymore."

She adds, "I feel like I had to go through the worst possible heartbreak ever and then just forgetting everything at the drop of the [hat], it was really confusing. But I just think that needed to happen and ultimately it was the best thing that ever happened to me."

Of writing "Lose You to Love Me," a powerful breakup ballad released in the aftermath of their split, Gomez says, "It's about more than a lost love. It's me learning to choose myself, to choose life, but also hoping that people can find grace and peace in that too. The song is about knowing that you completely lost every part of who you are just to rediscover yourself again."
