The actress is proud to be a big sister.

Selena Gomez loves having a little sister.

In a heartwarming Instagram post from Feb. 22, Gomez shared pictures of her nine-year-old half-sister Gracie, featuring the siblings swimming underwater, while hugging and kissing.

"Nothing, absolutely nothing like a sisters love. Until they steal your clothes, make up and skin products but whatever she cute," joked Gomez in the caption.

Gomez's mom Mandy gave birth to Gracie in June 2013, whom she had with the "Lose You To Love Me" singer's stepfather, Brian Teefey. A few months after Gracie was born, Gomez told E! News she was thrilled to be a big sister.

"I'm obsessed with her and becoming a big sister…I know I've had the responsibility to be a role model for girls but, when you have a little sister of your own, you kinda think, 'OK, this is legit,'" she said.

In a December 2022 interview with Vogue, Gomez said Gracie's already raiding her closet, so the joke on Instagram about Gracie stealing her older sister's clothes has some truth to it. "I thought I'd have a little more time with my clothes, but that's just not the case," quipped Gomez.

The sisters are so close that Gomez even invited Gracie to be her date to the 2023 Golden Globe Awards in January. During the car ride home from the ceremony, the sisters went live on Instagram.

Reacting to the negative comments about her body, Gomez said to Gracie, "I'm a little bit big right now because I enjoyed myself during the holidays. Right? But we don't care."

This touching moment of body positivity showed how much Gomez cares about being a positive influence on Gracie.
