For Selena Gomez, beauty comes naturally.

The Only Murders In The Building actress showed off a collection of makeup-free photos this week on her IG. Selena constantly works to break down social media and beauty standards–as also seen with her super vulnerable documentary, My Mind and Me–and this post was no exception.

“We are constantly bombarded with images and social media posts that make people feel like they need to achieve perfection, which is unattainable,” Selena wrote in a piece for CNN Style in 2020. Her post def showed off some attainable beauty.

The 30-year-old singer simply captioned her newest post “Me.”

Selena showed off three natural selfies–two that seem to be taken around the same time. In the third, she appears facing outside with slightly curlier hair. The singer’s natural waves were the only thing that upstaged her makeup-free skin–which even showed off a few freckles.

Obviously, Selena’s followers and celeb friends were loving the content. “Beautiful inside and out,” one fan wrote. Aubrey Plaza threw out a “😍.” Nicola Peltz Beckham wrote “Most beautiful ever 💘💘💘.”

As the owner of Rare Beauty, it comes as no surprise that Selena prioritizes her skincare routine. Selena isn’t alone in creating her own beauty line (many stars like Hailey Bieber and Ariana Grande have their own beauty companies), but she does hope her brand sends a different kind of message.

“Creating this brand was a way to have open conversations around beauty and mental health,” she told Glamour U.K. in 2022.

Plus, Selena isn’t just addressing beauty standards as a way to sell her Rare Beauty products. The actress seems to really care about her cause. She even shares some of her skincare practices on her TikTok account–and they don’t always include her brand’s products.

For example, in a recent video of her removing her makeup, she used Bioderma micellar water (she also included a disclaimer that she received most of her products for free). In another TikTok, Selena shows herself Paula’s Choice Replenishing toner as a step before she applies her Rare Beauty makeup.

Whether or not Selena had hopes of her post breaking down more beauty standards, she looked stunning. Keep on killing it, queen!
