Selena Gomez Confirmed Her New Single “Lose You To Love Me” Is Coming on October 23

We're ready!

Selena Gomez has confirmed that she's releasing new music. After dropping a number of social media teasers, and unveiling a giant billboard in Times Square, the singer announced when fans can finally hear her newest release, and it's really soon.

On Friday, Selena posted an image of herself with the words, "Lose You To Love Me" on it. She captioned the photo with "I needed to lose you to love me. 10.23. Link in bio." When you click on the bio link, you're taken to a page that allows you to presave the single on Spotify. The page also features a black and white of a person that's presumably Selena.

News of the single comes after Selena shared a small social media clip on Thursday. Along with a video of a marquee that read, "I saw the signs and ignored it," she posted a black and white image of herself. Both pictures were accompanied with cryptic captions, and although nothing was outright confirmed then, many fans rightfully believed it meant she was working on new music.

Selena had previously taken some time out of the spotlight for personal reasons, but returned earlier this year. Prior to a red carpet appearance in April, she had shared her reasoning for needing time away, writing, "As much as I am grateful for the voice that social media gives each of us, I am equally grateful to be able to step back and live my life present to the moment I have been given. Kindness and encouragement only for a bit! Just remember— negative comments can hurt anybody’s feelings. Obvi."

Selena has remained quite busy since stepping back into the spotlight. Along with a Coachella performance alongside Cardi B, she worked on the Netflix series Living Undocumented and was reportedly planning a beauty brand too. And now, it looks like we might be able to add new album, or at least new single, to that list.
