It's the second-most-used tool in my makeup bag.

Editors' Picks are the Fashionista team's true (#notspon) fashion and beauty obsessions, handpicked by professionals who see it all. Any beauty product you see here has been vetted and tested by the editor recommending it.

Despite being a beauty editor and working in the industry for more than a decade, I'm pretty un-fussy when it comes to my makeup. I don't have a whole lot of patience for super-specific makeup brushes — if it's a formula that can be applied, smudged, diffused, blended or perfected with my finger, why bother? But there are a handful of tools I do consider essential and use pretty much every single day: my Beautyblender, a spoolie to comb my brows into place, a lash curler — and Rare Beauty's Liquid Touch Concealer Brush.

Larger than a typical concealer brush, but about a quarter of the size of a standard powder brush, the tool features vegan fibers that are tightly packed into a curved slant (which is apparently called a marquis shape — who knew?). While it's technically intended for use with liquid, cream and powder concealers, I've found roughly 38 additional uses for it.

That aforementioned domed shape mimics the curve of a fingertip, so it's the perfect size and shape for getting into the crevices and contours of my face, like around my nose and at the inner corners of my eyes. The plush-yet-not-overly-soft bristles pick up a light layer of product — the type of formula doesn't matter — and deposit it evenly, with a featherlight hand.

My favorite is to pat loose powder over specific areas I've already concealed to set everything in place and blend it out seamlessly with the rest of my complexion. But it also works wonders with eye shadow, highlighter, blush, bronzer and contour pigments, allowing for ultra-precise placement and controlled blending.

The quality of this tool is apparent not just in how well designed it is, but also in how it holds up over time: Like I mentioned, I tend to use it pretty much every day, and despite having had mine for more than two years, it's still soft, fluffy and, most importantly, fully intact. The bristles absolutely never shed, which I really appreciate, since it's a huge pet peeve of mine to wind up with rogue brush hairs all over my face. Ick.

Selena Gomez gets lots of (well-deserved) love for Rare Beauty, but as far as I'm concerned, this is an under-appreciated hero of the brand. Consider me an official makeup brush convert.
