Selena Gomez's "Lose You to Love Me" and Justin Bieber's "Sorry" Got the Ultimate Mashup

Caution: May cause emotions.

Selena Gomez just earned her first Billboard Hot 100 no. 1 hit for "Lose You to Love Me," a heartfelt ballad about saying goodbye to the ending of a relationship.

Since the song came out, Selena has talked openly about the song's inspiration coming from past toxic relationships, but she hasn't officially named who the song is about. Nevertheless, fans have speculated it's about her ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber, thanks to a few well-placed Justin references in the song.

If you believe that, then music producer Andy Wu has just the "Lose You to Love Me" remix for you. As Elle reported, the mixer mashed together Selena's song and one of Justin's most beloved hits, "Sorry," which fans have long-speculated was about Selena herself (the truth is a bit more complicated). But regardless of actual true-life inspirations, Andy's mashup manages to be both beautiful and chilling, as Selena and Justin take turns recounting a relationship gone awry.

Fans are already pretty enamored with the mashup, with the comments on YouTube ranging from, "This literally sounds like I'm listening to both sides of the story. Selenas and Justin's" to things like, "This is literally the best mashup i've ever heard."

Artists are, of course, entitled to privacy around the who's who of their work, but the new mashup, like Selena's original lyrics, is pretty relatable no matter who it's about. In a recent interview, Selena expanded on the song's themes and how they approached what she was going through at the time.

“You're in a phase of life where you experience love for the first time, and I think that can just be just a little toxic,” she shared while on the Zach Sang Show. “You have this codependency that you think is love, and then you have this addiction to the passion and the frustration with each other that you think, 'Oh, that's love,' …. and I believed that for a long time.”
