Selena Gomez Announces New Album Release Date and More Details

It's real, it's official, and it's coming soon.

Selena Gomez shared some big news on Nov. 21 when the "Lose You to Love Me" singer announced that her new album is officially available to pre-order — with a release date of Jan. 10, 2020 a.k.a. less than two months away.

"You can now preorder my new album, out January 10, 2020. This album is my diary from the past few years and I can’t wait for you to hear it. Title, art and track list coming soon," she tweeted on Thursday.

Though there's still a lot of details to come, it makes sense that Selena calls the album her "diary" from recent years. Back in April, Selena said of her future music, "Working on this new record, I just wanted it to be me, all me. Every song is a story I’ve experienced."

And in June, she gave more details about why this album took longer than the others; it's her first full record since 2016's Revival, though she's released many singles in the intervening years. "It took me four years now to even feel at a good place with this album, and it's just because I had such huge moments that happened in my life personally that [it was like] how was I going to capture that and how was I actually going to feel good about what I was saying? So, I kept going, and I'm relieved now," she told Jimmy Fallon while on The Tonight Show.

It's safe to say that when Jan. 10 rolls around, we'll get to hear an exciting new side to Selena's life and work. Her most recent songs "Lose You to Love Me" and "Look at Her Now" basically blew our minds, so we can't wait for what's coming next.
