For someone who tries to stay poised on Jeopardy!, Ken Jennings just did something that fans truly didn't see coming.

The hit quiz show is currently in the middle of the 2022 Tournament of Champions, but it recently took a break for Matt Amodio, Amy Schneider and Mattea Roach to come together and test their wits in an exhibition battle of trivia. But during one of the rounds, Ken mistakenly slipped up when trying to share the special meaning for the category "Numbers Please." The host eagerly began discussing how the numbers on the board correlated with each player ... and accidentally revealed the answer to the $200 question in the process.

"I don’t know if you noticed, but the numbers in that category are 40, 23, 38, and 74, which is larger than all of them – oh s***!" he exclaimed to the surprise of everyone standing in the room.

What's more, Ken slammed his clue cards on the podium while the live audience gasped. Adding to the moment, Matt tried to take advantage of the situation and repeatedly pressed his buzzer to answer the question. Meanwhile, Mattea tried to contain her laughter.

Since this flub isn't usually a part of Ken's way of hosting Jeopardy!, fans immediately noted the expletive on social media.

"Ken Jennings cursing, my life is complete," one person wrote on Twitter. "We laughed so hard I had to hit rewind to make sure we heard it right 😂," another replied. "Ken Jennings cursing on national TV was the gift I did not know that I needed today," a different fan added.

While Ken's misstep is definitely something to laugh about, viewers may be wondering about the importance of the numbers in the round. For those following the show since Matt, Amy and Mattea were originally contestants, each number represents the amount of games they won (Matt won 38, Amy clinched 40, Mattea scored 23). As Ken jokingly pointed out, 74 is a larger number than the other ones ... and the amount of games he won before losing back in November 2004.

As for the end of the segment, Amy eventually gave the right answer for the $200 question. But this proves there's never a dull moment on Jeopardy!, and Ken is human like the rest of us!
