What is the Andor release date 2022?

The first three episodes of Andor will debut on Disney+ on Sept. 21, 2022. Following the first three episodes, each subsequent episode will be released weekly on Wednesdays. Typically, Disney+ will release episodes at 3 a.m. EST each Wednesday, though times can occasionally vary.

The official synopsis from Disney says, "Andor brings forward the tale of the burgeoning rebellion against the Empire and how people and planets became involved. It’s an era filled with danger, deception and intrigue where Cassian will embark on the path that is destined to turn him into a rebel hero."

Luna presented the Andor trailer during an appearance on Good Morning America, explaining of the show, “It’s quite unique, because we know what Cassian is capable of, but we’re going to meet him when he doesn’t know he’s capable of that. We’re going to meet him when life is tough, it’s a very dark and interesting life because it’s just a regular guy that suddenly has to become part of something bigger, has to become part of a community that rises. It’s the beginning of the origins of a revolution, and it’s a beautiful story because it reminds us what we are capable of, what we are all capable of. There’s no Jedis around—it’s people having to take control.”

A clip of an Andor scene was released on Aug. 24, 2022. In it, we see Andor speaking to Luthen about stealing from the Empire.

Who is the old lady in the Andor trailer?

First off, rude. Second, her name is Genevieve O'Reilly and she plays Mon Mothma, a member of the Imperial Senate on Coruscant. She later joins the Rebel Alliance in Rogue One and Revenge of the Sith.

Showrunner Tony Gilroy told Vanity Fair, “It is a huge, orchestral, Dickensian ensemble cast, with Diego at the middle of it, and Genevieve at the middle of another part of it. They intersect. I’m not going to get into how they intersect. They do have [an] intersection—but they do not meet. They will not meet until [Season 2].”

Gilroy added, "I bet that when Episode 104 [Season 1, Episode 4] plays, when Mon Mothma finishes the episode, that there’ll be people tweeting about Mon Mothma.”

Who is the villain in Andor?

While the specific villain in Andor hasn't yet been revealed or named, the overall "Big Bad" of the series will be the Empire as a whole. Based on the trailer, it's easy to assume that the Imperial officer played by Anton Lesser may be the villain for Season 1—but if there's anything we know, it's that there are plenty of twists, turns and changed loyalties in the Star Wars franchise, so don't get too set on this theory!

What planet is Andor?

The character Andor's name is often confused with the name of the planet Endor, which is basically a giant ball of gas. Endor has a moon of the same name (also called the Forest Moon of Endor or the Sanctuary Moon), which is where Ewoks call home.

What planet is Andor from?

Cassian Andor is from the planet Fest. Fest is largely icy with a lot of mountains, hills and snow, and first appeared in the Star Wars universe in a video game, Star Wars: Dark Forces, released in 1995.

That said, we may or may not see much of his home planet. Gilroy explained to Vanity Fair, “His adopted home will become the base of our whole first season, and we watch that place become radicalized.
