Robert Downey Jr. and his wife, Susan, recently attended the premiere for their new MAX Original series, Downey's Dream Cars, in Los Angeles. Married since 2005, the couple is one of Hollywood's greatest A-list marriage success stories.
The pair looked smitten at the premiere for the series, which stars the Ironman actor (and his cars, of course). It's also produced by the couple's production company, Team Downey. Susan built her career working for production companies, which eventually led to her meeting Robert while producing Gothika in 2003.
For the red carpet, Robert donned a simple blue outfit, which resembled a mechanic's jumpsuit. Susan pulled out all the stops in a black mini dress with gold accents.
Both Susan and Robert are passionate about environmental activism which is apparent in their new show. The series follows Robert and car and sustainability experts as they modify the family's cars, making them more eco-friendly. They'll highlight advancements in clean technology and, of course, Robert's insane collection of vehicles.
With multiple films and series in the works for Team Downey it's clear Susan and Robert are a great team professionally, but they also work together in other ways. They have two children together, Exton (11) and Avri (8), and Robert's son Indio (29) from his previous marriage to Deborah Falconer. Seventeen years of marriage and two kids later, the Downeys have definitely secured a spot on our list of sweetest celebrity couples.
