See How a Rising British R&B Artist Turned Heads at New York Fashion Week

The rising R&B singer Ama Lou might be from London, but she looks right at home among the New York City fashion set. In crisp style, Lou kept up with the breakneck pace of fashion week, wearing a pale blue French baker’s jacket to the Longchamp show and a custom splatter-painted suit by Clutchgolf to see the new collection by Maryam Nassir Zadeh.

She not only took in fashion during her tour of New York, but also made time to shoot a scene for an upcoming film and to catch Renell Medrano’s photography exhibit at Milk Studios. Follow this loafer-loving young Brit in her photo diary, below, as she kicks around town.

Day two, and I went to the Maryam Nassir Zadeh show (which was so beautiful, btw wtfff gurl). Mobbing around the Lower East Side after in my custom suit by Clutchgolf.
My last day, and I spent it filming! “Filming what?” you ask. Something for my new project! It was an early start, and by the time this picture was taken, my knees were sweating from all the running around . . . my actual knees.

Finished off my last few minutes in New York before I jumped on the plane️ by visiting a beautiful photo exhibition, Peluca, by the amazing Renell Medrano at Milk Studios. Her photos are spectacular, and wow, what a beautifully curated set of works! If you’re in New York, you definitely need to stop by and see it!

At the DKNY party that eve chatting to Mecca, probably about some new loafer we saw and I most definitely need. All of our conversations somehow end up being about clothes no matter when, where, or how. It’s actually quite incredible.
