All about how Reginae Carter, Phoenix Brown and Grace McKagan, who all star in NYX Professional Makeups Mon-Stars Halloween campaign, got ready for the brand's big bash

Consider Halloween NYX Professional Makeup's Super Bowl. The makeup brand leans in like no other to provide fans the products and tools they need to create a convincing look — and take it off at the end of the night.

This year, it partnered with Universal Studios on a Mon-Star campaign to modernize classic monsters. The result: Regina Carter and Sydney Bell took on the roles of “The Mummi Twins,” while, Landon Barker appeared as “The Werewolf,” Phoenix Brown as “Bride of Frankie” and Grace McKagan as “Drakulah.”

To celebrate the spookiest season of the year, the brand also threw an epic party in Los Angeles hosted by Carter and featuring performances by Barker and Lil Wayne. But before that, campaign stars Brown, Carter and McKagan got into character, and Erika Guinn, AVP of Global Artistry, Product and Content at NYX Professional Makeup, is sharing the scoop on how these looks came together.

Makeup artist Brandy Allen transformed Carter into the ultimate baddie "Werewolf’ starting off with Bare With Me Blur Tint Foundation. The pro then added in the werewolf-like hairs using the SFX Face & Body Paint Sticks in Midnight in LA and Giving Ghost around Reginae's hairline.

For Carter's fierce eyes, Allen applied the Epic Ink Liquid Eyeliner in Black, and the NYX Professional Makeup Ultimate Eyeshadow Palette in Vintage Jean Baby topped with the SFX Glitter Face & Eye Paint in the shade Graveyard Glam for that striking hit of silver.

The look was topped off with Butter Gloss Lipgloss, in Licorice, around the lip and filled in Fat Oil Lip Drip in Scrollin.

Brown paid homage to her character, “The Bride of Frankie” from the Mon-Star campaign by transforming into the "Bride of Freddy Krueger" for the Mon-Star bash.

Evans used the new SFX Face & Body Paint Sticks in Bad Witch Energy on the eyes and lips and mixed the red, black and white to create Freddy's signature scarred skin. The Micro Brow Pencil in Brunette on Brown's brows completed the look.
