Transformers debuted its latest trailer for Rise of the Beasts during Super Bowl LVII. As the first of the franchise’s movies to be directed by Creed II's Steven Caple Jr., rather than longtime director Michael Bay, all eyes are on Caple Jr. to see his approach to the live-action spinoff.

Set in the 90s, Rise of the Beasts will envelope viewers into the world that got them hooked on Transformers in the first place. In the ongoing battle between Decepticons and familiar Autobots such as Optimus Prime and Bumblee, the film sees the new characters Maximals, Predacons and Terrorcons make their debut.

"When I met Lorenzo and the team, I was like, where are we picking this thing up from? And he was like 1994. And I was just like, that's a great era," Caple Jr. said in a recent interview with Comicbook. "You know what I mean? It has a lot of texture. It's, it's rich in texture is also vibrant culturally.”

“And as he said, it has like classic music and there's a certain energy to the nineties that I'm looking forward to capture. Like we've seen it on screen very few times, sometimes you can play into it too much, but I think there's a level of like realness that I could bring to it."

Anthony Ramos and Dominique Fishback lead the human cast. The voices behind the Transformers come from a star-studded roster that includes Michelle Yeoh, Ron Perlman, Pete Davidson and more.

In its latest trailer, Ramos is joined by a Porsche 911 Carrera RS 3.8, which goes from speeding down the road to assembling into the new Transformer, Mirage.
