See All the Photos From Prince George and Princess Charlotte's First Day of School

If you're anything like me, your social feeds have been filled with first day of school photos for weeks. Of course, it's a major milestone in any family; when you're in line for the British throne, it's global news—though no less adorable.

This morning, September 5, Kate Middleton and Prince William dropped off their two oldest children—Prince George and Princess Charlotte—at school just as so many parents have across the country and around the world. It's a big milestone for Princess Charlotte, 4, who is joining her brother at Thomas's Battersea for her first year.

The Cambridge kids look cute as can be in their navy and red school uniforms with George in shorts and Charlotte in a skirt and Mary Janes as they greeted Helen Haslem, the head of the lower school. (Naturally, Kate's blowout was incredible, as was her patterned Michael Kors dress.) This year, Charlotte will get to study things like French, computing, art, music, drama, and ballet. Though the private school's website states that "the most important school rule, which applies to every member of the school community, is to ‘Be Kind.’"

Both kids showed off their personalities as the family walked into the schoolyard. In this video you can hear William say the kids are "very excited" for their first day.

Back when Prince George started at the school in 2017, only Prince William dropped him off. Kate was suffering at the time from hyperemesis gravidarum, or severe morning sickness, while pregnant with Prince Louis and was unable to make it. So it was nice to see the whole family (minus baby Louis) able to arrive together today.

Also, it seems that perhaps Charlotte has her mother's great fashion sense. Her school bag is accessorized with a glittery unicorn key chain.
