Kate Middleton took a turn behind the camera to capture 10 of Queen Elizabeth's great-grandchildren.

Kate Middleton has long loved photography, and she showed off one of her proudest pieces of work: A never-before-seen photo of Queen Elizabeth II with the next generation of royals.

In the snapshot, which the Princess of Wales (then the Duchess of Cambridge) took at Balmoral in summer 2022, the Queen sits with some of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Pictured from left to right and back to front rows are Lady Louise Mountbatten-Windsor and James, Earl of Wessex; Lena Tindall; Prince George; Princess Charlotte; Isla Phillips; Prince Louis; Mia Tindall holding Lucas Tindall and Savannah Phillips.

The image was shared on Prince William and Middleton's official Instagram and Twitter accounts to mark what would have been the Queen's 97th birthday.

Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, who reside in California with parents Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, were not present.

After Prince Philip's death in April 2021, the family shared a similar photo from 2018, also taken by Middleton, of the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh with royal rugrats.

The official British royal family Instagram paid tribute to the longest-reigning monarch's first posthumous birthday.

A photo of the Queen holding flowers was captioned, "Today we remember the incredible life and legacy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, on what would have been her 97th birthday. When Her Majesty was born in April 1926, Princess Elizabeth and her family did not expect that she would one day become Queen. Following the abdication of her uncle King Edward VIII in 1936, her father acceded to the throne."

The caption continued, "When King George VI died in February 1952, Princess Elizabeth became Queen Elizabeth II when she was just 25. Her Majesty went on to be Britain’s longest reigning Monarch - the only one in history to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee."

The Queen died in September 2022 at age 96, at which point Charles III became king. He will be officially coronated in May.
