'I Wanna Dance With Somebody' is set to hit theaters on Dec. 21.

Naomi Ackie has brought the late Whitney Houston back to life in a new biopic about the singer and her rise to fame. 

The trailer for the upcoming biopic, I Wanna Dance With Somebody, has officially dropped–and in it, Ackie is prepared to take her superstar talent all the way to the big screen.

In the video, the 30-year-old actress embodies the energy of the iconic singer–vibrant fashion statements and charming mannerisms included–and through Ackie, viewers can relive all the significant moments in pop culture credited to Houston's career from the moment she was discovered; one being her legendary performance at the 1991 Super Bowl.

The film also stars Stanley Tucci, who assumes the role of Clive Davis–the legendary record producer who first discovered Houston while she was performing at a nightclub in New York City.

Other actors who are set to star in the film include Moses Ingram, Ashton Sanders, Clarke PetersTamara Tunie, and Nafessa Williams

The biopic was written by Bohemian Rhapsody's Anthony McCarten, directed by Kasi Lemmons and produced by Houston's former record producer, Davis; along with Matt JacksonMolly SmithTrent Luckinbill, Thad LuckinbillMatthew Salloway, and a few others, as per IMDB.

I Wanna Dance With Somebody is set to hit theaters on Dec. 21.
