See Lisa Rinna Put 'Live' Host Ryan Seacrest on Blast About Marrying His Girlfriend

Ryan Seacrest is currently gearing up for the return of American Idol later this fall. In the meantime, the ABC co-host is leading Live With Kelly and Ryan and spending time with his girlfriend, model Aubrey Paige Petcosky. Now, more than a year into their relationship, Ryan is opening up about what he imagines for their future together — and it might not be what fans expect to hear.

During Live’s August 10 taping, Ryan and guest co-host Lisa Rinna discussed marriage. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member admitted that she thought he should walk down the aisle soon. “What is it going to take?” she said. “I feel like it’s time … What are you waiting for?”

Although Ryan tried to articulate his reasoning, he seemed to have a difficult time doing so. “It’s a long story,” he said. “I just have a lot of thoughts.”

When the TV personality found the right words, he told Lisa: "I'm happy. I'm happy in the present moment. I don't think about everything else. Why push it?"

She immediately followed up with questions about Ryan having kids. Ryan replied: "I think having kids at the right time would be great. I have a fantastic family, a very small family. I have a niece, [my sister] Meredith has a daughter. My parents have been married [for] 52 and a half years, so there's a high bar. So that's in my head."

Last May, Ryan and Aubrey were spotted together over Memorial Day weekend after they returned to New York City from the Hamptons. Though neither confirmed their relationship, a source told Us Weekly they were “very happy together and doing great” and “keeping their relationship very private.”

According to Daily Mail, Ryan and Aubrey started dating sometime in early May. But it wasn’t until New Year’s Eve that she posted about him. “Safe to say the best part of 2021 was meeting the most incredible man 😍🙌🏼,” she captioned an Instagram photo. “Wishing everyone love, happiness, safety & health in 2022 🥂.”

What’s more, fellow co-host Kelly Ripa has also given Aubrey her stamp of approval. But even so, it sounds like marriage is far from Ryan’s mind … for now, at least.
