Keith Urban

Keith Urban shocked fans casually moving through the Nashville International Airport as he took the stage to entertain travelers.

The country singer, who is married to actress Nicole Kidman, was spotted at the airport in Nashville, Tenn., also known by the airport code BNA. He performed his song "Long Hot Summer" on the stage normally set for up-and-coming artists, stunning fans who happened to be traveling that day.

The airport shared a clip of the show, writing, "You never know who will popup at BNA! Keith Urban is currently on the BNA Live Stage in the C Concourse Food Court!"

The local news network WSMV-TV also shared the clip, with fans praising the country star for his musical talent and love for Nashville.

"He is [an] amazing and a wonderful ambassador for Nashville," wrote one fan, as another shared their reaction to being at the airport in person, saying, "Definitely the most musical airport I have ever been in! 🤗."

Someone joked, "OmG I would have missed my flight!!" while more lamented missing the performance due to different circumstances, such as a fan of Urban who recalled, "We missed him by 5 minutes 🤦🏻‍♀️."

Along with his fun little concert for fans in Nashville, Urban is also celebrating the release of new music, as he came out with the track "Messed Up As Me" on Feb. 29, only weeks after his new single "Straight Line" that came out at the start of February. The two songs are previews of his upcoming full album, his first album release since 2020's The Speed of Now Part 1.

In an interview with the Associated Press last summer, Urban revealed that he had been working on his new album since the start of 2022, but by February 2023, he said that he had to "sort of look at it all and feel like it really wasn’t a group of songs that was speaking to me."

As a result, Urban kept a few of the songs and went "back to the drawing board," rebuilding to create the new album expected to come out sometime in 2024.
