See Katie Holmes Wow Her Fans With Her See-Through Embroidered Gown on Instagram

Katie Holmes continuously finds ways to impress fans with her looks — and this outfit is certainly no exception.
Back in September 2016, the Dawson's Creek alum stepped out for the Cartier Fifth Avenue Grand Reopening Event in New York City. With the party being all about glitz and glamor, Katie showed up wearing an empire-waisted see-through Valentino gown that reached the floor of the red carpet. The standout element was the sheer material that overlaid the gown and flaunted embroidered nature scenes, like butterflies and tree branches.
Because of the gown's intricate detailing throughout, Katie complemented the rest of the look with simple accents. For accessories, the Thank You for Smoking actress wore hoop earrings and paired them with diamond rings and bracelets. She styled her dark hair in a strategically messy top knot while keeping her makeup more natural looking.
While Katie didn't give an entire peek of the gown at the time on Instagram, she did share part of the look with her social media followers. They didn't hesitate to let the Batman Begins star know how much they loved what she wore that night.
"[You] look like a princess," one person wrote in the comments. "I mean...perfection! 😍," another agreed. "Do you ever age?!?! True beauty!" a different user added.
Turns out, Katie loves to wear sheer looks, albeit in more casual settings. She donned a surprising see-through floral dress in February 2018 while attending an event at New York Fashion Week. She also had a showstopper moment in November 2019, wearing a see-through top to the MCC Theater's All-Star "Let's Play! Celebrity Game Night" event in New York City.
With this pattern in mind, it surely won't be long before she rocks another see-through ensemble.
