“Just like a tattoo,” Jordin Sparks will always have her husband with her.

The “No Air” singer was photographed getting the name Dana permanently on the back of her thigh in honor of Dana Isaiah. The cursive font is placed just below her rear end. Comfy for the procedure, Sparks wore spandex bike shorts, a navy blue hoodie and a black, sherpa bucket hat detailed with white butterflies.

Sparks shared photos of the new tat in a now-expired Instagram story. While some fans supported the ink, other commenters expressed concern with tattooing anyone’s name permanently.

But her husband stepped in to defend his relationship and its stability. In an Instagram story. Isaiah remembered some of the wild rumors that surrounded his relationship with Sparks ahead of their marriage. “First, I was trying to use her. Second, she was my beard,” he laughed, “Everybody was saying I was gay. Third, we were never gonna last. Fourth — man, I can’t even keep up, ya’ll just be coming up with some bulls---.”
