See Jonathan Scott and Zooey Deschanel's PDA-Filled Red Carpet Appearance

The Oscar's Vanity Fair after party is almost (okay, it definitely is!) more entertaining than the award show itself. The star-studded event is one giant fashion show as celebrities show off their most iconic looks and party the night away. Only second to the Met Gala, we'd love to be a fly on the wall at the celebratory event, but until then, we'll be obsessing over some of the night's most daring looks and at the top of that list sits Zooey Deschanel.

The New Girl actress attended the event, and let's just say that she was not hesitant to make a big statement on the red carpet. Zooey shared a few snapshots of her strapless silver gown on Instagram with the caption thanking designer Iris van Herpen.

Known for her forward-thinking, out-of-this world designs, the designer's futuristic dress had everyone doing double takes. Crafted with large, sculpted fabric that resembles wings, Zooey kept the rest of her ensemble simple by pairing the statement dress with minimal jewelry and matching silver heels.

Her only other accessories included a silver clutch bag, and of course, her longtime boyfriend Jonathan Scott. The Property Brothers star kept his outfit simple with a classic black tux because honestly, how could you even begin to compete with Zooey's look.

Fans couldn't seem to get enough of the actress' unexpected look and unanimously agreed that even though she wasn't there to receive an Oscar, she had a big win in their book. People left comments like:
