See Every Red-Carpet Look from the 2023 Venice Film Festival
The red carpet at this year's Venice International Film Festival is notably quieter, with a dearth of attending stars due to the ongoing simultaneous strikes called by the Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists and the Writers Guild of America.
Still, some celebrities who have worked in indie films not produced by Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers, and which have subsequently obtained a SAG-AFTRA interim waiver, have received the green light to show up to the annual cinematic event. In the absence of many of their fellow actors and screenwriters, the attendees are dialing up the glamour.
The Venice Film Festival is known for its off-the-charts fashion, whether it be a quietly luxurious boat arrival look or a lavish fresh-off-the-runway red-carpet ensemble. This year, Amal Clooney has already turned heads in a rotation of sophisticated slipdresses. And Euphoria's Sydney Sweeney touched down in Italy while embracing monochrome in an entirely cream and linen outfit.
