See the Cards Kate and William’s Kids George, Charlotte, and Louis Made for Princess Diana on UK Mother’s Day

From ELLE

It's Mother's Day in the U.K. today, and Kensington Palace marked the holiday by sharing a very intimate look at how Prince William and Kate Middleton's three children, seven-year-old Prince George, five-year-old Princess Charlotte, and two-year-old Prince Louis honor their late grandmother Princess Diana each year. The three make cards for her.

Kate and William showed off each card and the message their children wrote to Diana on their Kensington Palace Instagram. They captioned the gallery post of cards:

This year Mother’s Day will be different once again.

Many of us will be apart from our loved ones, but looking forward to a time in the not too distant future when we can give our mother a hug again.

But for those experiencing bereavement, today may be particularly challenging.

Each year on Mother’s Day, George, Charlotte and Louis make cards remembering their Granny, Diana, for William.

Whatever your circumstances, we are thinking of you this Mother’s Day 💐

George's card read, "Dear Granny Diana, Happy Happy Mothers Day. I love you very much and think of you always. Sending lots of love from George xxxxx."

Charlotte's read, "Dear Granny Diana, I am thinking of you on Mother's Day. I love you very much. Papa is missing you. Lots of love Charlotte xxxxxxxxx"

Louis, who is two and not quite writing notes yet, just signed his name, it appears.

George's card is the first shown in the gallery. But the cards generally are a rare look into the royal kids' lives, their creativity, and the deep love they have for their late grandmother and her memory. You can scroll through them below:
