Prince William and Kate Middleton are set to undertake an official overseas visit together for the first time since March 2020. The Cambridges are traveling to Belize, Jamaica, and the Bahamas, on a week-long tour celebrating Queen Elizabeth's Platinum Jubilee. All three countries are Commonwealth realms—nations where Queen Elizabeth serves as monarch and head of state.
This will be Will and Kate's first official visit to the Caribbean together; the last senior royal to visit the Bahamas, Jamaica, and Belize was Prince Harry in 2012 as part of a Diamond Jubilee Tour.
Ahead of their trip, Kensington Palace said in a statement the royal couple are "very much looking forward to the visit."
"As with previous overseas visits, The Duke and Duchess have asked that this tour allows them to meet as many local people as possible," Kensington Palace said. "Over the course of their time in the Caribbean, Their Royal Highnesses will meet a wide variety of groups, including children, young people and families, frontline workers, service personnel, leaders from government, business and the charity sector as well as inspiring conservationists, and the early years workforce."
