See Angelina Jolie as a Very Blonde Marvel Hero in the Eternals Teaser

Hot on the heels of the sneak peek of Marvel's Eternals, the studio has released the first official teaser trailer for the upcoming MCU installment, starring Angelina Jolie as a superhero wielding a sword.

Directed by Oscar winner Chloé Zhao, Eternals also stars Salma Hayek, Richard Madden, Gemma Chan, Brian Tyree Henry, Kit Harington, and Kumail Nanjiani.

In scenes from the teaser, Jolie can be seen wielding what looks like a golden magic sword, and sitting down (at the head of the table, of course) with the aforementioned cast for what promises to be a superhero play on the "found family" trope.

The movie follows the events after 2019's Avengers: Endgame, focusing on the Eternals, an immortal alien race, who unite to protect humanity from their evil counterparts, the Deviants. Jolie plays Thena, a warrior who forms weapons out of cosmic energy.

"I love this cast, and that we all came together," Jolie told British Vogue about the role earlier this year. "I signed up to support Chloé's vision and Marvel's commitment to expand the way we see 'superheroes.' Running around in a gold bodysuit was not how I imagined my forties. But it's good crazy, I think."

Eternals will be released on November 5, 2021.
