See New Adorable Portraits of Prince George For His Sixth Birthday

Happy Birthday, Prince George!

For his sixth birthday, Kensington Palace released three new portraits of the little royal. “The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to share new photographs of Prince George," they wrote in a statement.

Taken by mother Kate Middleton, two of the portraits show George in the Kensington Palace gardens. In one, he grins while wearing an England soccer jersey, and in another, he laughs while lying in the grass.

The third portrait shows the prince smiling outdoors in an undisclosed location. "This photograph was taken on holiday with the family by The Duchess of Cambridge," the caption reads.

The royal birthday portrait is an annual tradition: last year, photographer Matt Porteous shot photos of George grinning in front of a brick wall. (Most believe that the snap was taken at brother Prince Louis’s christening.) In 2017, Getty photographer Chris Jackson captured him in a blue and white button down. This year, the Duchess of Cambridge was the photographer behind the official birthday portraits of all of her children.

What is George doing for his birthday? Multiple reports say he will be spending it with his family in Mustique with his family, like he did last year.
