See Adorable Photos of Sweden’s Princess Estelle and Prince Oscar Enjoying Their Summer Vacation

It’s summer vacation for Princess Estelle and Prince Oscar of Sweden. And to celebrate the start of the warm-weather season, the children of Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel posed for a new series of portraits.

The first portrait has the two siblings posing together in a garden. Estelle grips a vine while Oscar claps his hands together as he looks at the camera.

The Swedish royal family also released two close-up shots of the royal children. In one, seven-year-old Princess Estelle makes a wish on a dandelion. (It’s reminiscent of another royal kid’s portrait this year—Princess Charlotte, in her fourth birthday photographs, also held a flower.) She wears a dress with a playful yellow and white print.

Meanwhile, three-year-old Prince Oscar proudly shows off a green bug to the camera, wearing a blue button-down.

How are the Swedish royal kids spending their vacation? Much of it will be at Solliden palace, the official summer residence of the royal family. The bright-white, Italian-style villa was built in 1906, after Queen Victoria of Sweden’s doctor told her she needed more fresh air. Its gardens are open to the public.

At Solliden, Estelle and Oscar will also celebrate their mother’s official birthday: every year, Victoriadagen, or Victoria Day, usually takes place on the palace grounds.

There’s a chance that there will be more portraits of Estelle and Oscar on the horizon: the entire Swedish royal family, including King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia, often pose for multi-generational, mid-summer portraits at Solliden. In 2017, it was a color-coordinated masterpiece, and in 2018, it showed the clan enjoying the outdoors. The public will just need to wait a month or two to find out what this year has in store.
