  • Serena Williams honored Olympic track star Flo-Jo with her Australian Open outfit, and her daughter got one to match.

  • Her husband shared an update with adorable photos of Olympia in an exact replica of the outfit.

  • The matching one-legged catsuits were inspired by Florence Griffith Joyner's iconic tracksuits from the 1980s.

Tennis champ Serena Williams crushes it on the court no matter what she's wearing. At the Australian Open, the pro did it all rocking a killer catsuit that paid tribute to American Olympic gold medalist track star Florence Griffith Joyner, a.k.a. Flo-Jo. At the 1988 Olympics in Seoul, Flo-Jo set records for the 100m and 200m dashes—and her records are still in place today. (Griffith retired from track in 1989.)

So it was only fitting that Serena's Australian Open outfit honored another G.O.A.T. A few months later, her daughter Olympia donned an exact replica of her own. Greatness totally runs in the family. Her husband Alexis Ohanian shared adorable photos of Serena's mini-me in a pint-size Flo-Jo outfit on Instagram. "Practice makes…." he captioned the adorable photos. It seems he jumped the gun a bit. "Awwwww mannnnnn I asked you to save this post until I was next to her side my side in my same outfit 🙄🙄,” she commented.

The 23-time Grand Slam champion wore an asymmetrical catsuit unitard designed by Nike, with red, bright pink, and black color-blocking. The catsuit featured one full-length and one bike short-length leg. Not only was the suit definitely a vibe, but Serena also won her match against Laura Siegemund 6-1/6-1. (TBD how Olympia's match went in her own suit.)

There's more to the catsuit story than just an adorable mother-daughter duo. After the match, Serena talked to reporters about the Flo-Jo inspiration behind her 'fit.

"I was inspired by Flo-Jo, who was a wonderful track athlete, amazing athlete when I was growing up," Serena told reporters. "Watching her fashion just always changing, her outfits were always amazing. This year we thought of 'What can we do to keep elevating the Serena Williams on the court?' The Nike team actually thought of this design of inspiration from Flo-Jo. I was like, oh my God, this is so brilliant."
