ABOUT THIS TOUR

HOME TYPE: Apartment

LOCATION: Barcelona, Spain

STYLE: Bohemian, Eclectic, Vintage

BEDROOMS: 3

SQUARE FEET: 860

Tania, who is the Visual Manager at Kave Home Barcelona, a decoration and furniture brand, has been renting this apartment in Barcelona, Spain, for four years, sharing it with a roommate, Puri, and a pet. The space is only 860 square feet large, but manages to squeeze in three bedrooms. The roommates pay around 1000 euros a month for the space, which comes out to about $1,074 a month!

Along with it being a cute space to begin with, Tania says that both she and Puri also get to live near their jobs, so they love the space’s location as well.

And when it came to decorating the apartment, Tania says her personal fashion was not an influence. “I wear black clothes almost all the time towards a punk aesthetic, but at home I’m more towards a vintage style and more colorful,” she writes.

Apartment Therapy Survey

Describe your home’s style in five words or fewer: Everybody says that I have an old-lady style and I’m very happy with the comparison.

What is your favorite room and why? The living room area is my favorite room. I love the big windows. It is a very sunny room and it is where I can have more plants.

What’s the last thing you bought (or found!) for your home? A custom-made rounded cushion from Rosita Studio that I have in the rocking chair.

What’s your best decorating, shopping, cleaning, or organizing advice? Avoid rushing to buy new things from big brands. We all know that they won’t last longer. Instead, visit your thrifted store nearby to find really good things!

Thanks, Tania!
