The Second 'Love Is Blind' Reunion Is Coming To Netflix With 3 New Episodes

Love is Blind fans, you're going to want to sit down (preferably in a pod) for this one: A brand new reunion special is coming to Netflix on July 28. The three-episode series will break down exactly what your faves have been up to since the first reunion episode premiered last March. Phew, the original cast has been busy away from the cameras.

The show will also be a good ol' fashioned reunion that brings together most, if not all, of the original cast. I have no doubt the new series will include just as many shocking moments as the initial pod dating experiment. But, until it airs, here's everything to expect from the Love is Blind: After the Altar reunion series:

What happens during the reunion?

After the Altar follows members of the original cast as they get together for an anniversary party to celebrate Lauren Speed and Cameron Hamilton and Amber Pike and Matt Barnett (two happy couples who are still together after getting married on the show). Based on the trailer, fans can also expect to see plenty of drama reemerge from season one. (Yep, Barnett did try to dodge the question about Jessica Batten...)

Watch the trailer for yourself, and let the countdown to messiness begin:

When was the reunion filmed?

Short answer: Netflix hasn't released the filming dates. Based on careful observation of the trailer, you can make some informed guesses. The special was definitely filmed during the COVID-19 pandemic (peep the masks in the background of some of the shots). Plus, you hear in a voiceover, "Two years ago, we fell in love and chose someone to marry without ever seeing them..." Based on that comment, the reunion was probably filmed in fall 2020 or winter 2021. (Season one had cameras rolling October 9 to November 15, 2018 for the grand pod dating experiment, per Refinery29.)

For more current info, you'll have to dive into some of the cast members' Instagrams.

Will all the cast members and couples be there?

Based on the trailer, it's safe to say that plenty of the season one cast showed up for the reunion. Amber, Barnett, Lauren, and Cameron are definitely on the reunion set. And, there are scenes with Kelly Chase, Giannina Gibelli, Jessica, and Diamond Jack, too. Carlton Morton and Kenny Barnes also join some of the cast members who didn't make it past the pod stage of the show.

There is no sign of Mark Cuevas or Damian Powers... yet. And, yep, the reunion will totally be addressing all of the unresolved drama from season one—looking at you, Jessica and Amber.

It's still TBD if any surprise guests will show up.

Naturally, fans are stoked about the new Love is Blind series.

Twitter really says it all. It's been over a year since the last Love Is Blind episodes dropped on Netflix, so the news came as quite the happy surprise. "LOVE IS BLIND REUNION!!!! BEST NEWS OF THE YEAR," one ecstatic fan tweeted.

"Ouuuuh a Love is Blind reunion I’m ready for that mess still team Cameron and Lauren 4eva," another tweet read.

Rightfully, other fans were still curious about a season two. "Another Love Is Blind reunion is great, but I need another season fr @netflix," one fan tweeted. (Honestly, same.)

TBD on whether another round of hopefuls will ever get their chance at finding love in the pods.
