Sebastian Stan will be taking on the role of a young Donald Trump in Ali Abbasi's upcoming film, The Apprentice.

According to reports, the movie will follow Trump as he establishes his real estate empire in the '70s and '80s, as well as his relationship with lawyer and prosecutor, Roy Cohn. The Apprentice is described as " an exploration of power and ambition set in a world of corruption and deceit. It’s a mentor-protege story that charts the origins of an American dynasty. Filled with larger than life characters, it reveals the moral and human cost of a culture defined by winners and losers.”

Supposedly joining Stan in the main cast are Succession's Jeremy Strong, who will play Cohn, and Borat Subsequent Moviefilm breakout star Maria Bakalova, who will portray Trump's first wife Ivana.

Author Gabriel Sherman will write the script while Daniel Beckerman, Jacob Jerek and Ruth Treacy will produce, and Grant Johnson, Sherman and Amy Baer will serve as executive producers.
