The Seasonal Aldi Breakfast Fave That’s Flying Off Shelves

As many savvy shoppers know, Aldi is a great place to shop if you're looking to stretch your grocery budget and also has lots of fun, unusual items that you won't find at other stores (we see you Maple Drizzled and Pumpkin Spice Kettlecorn).

The latest Aldi find (for those fortunate enough to get their hands on it) that's causing a stir online is something that will add delightful flavor to the most important meal of the day.

Recently, a passionate fan posted a pic of the Breakfast Best Grab & Go Maple Waffles on the Aldi subreddit and added a plea for the Aldi powers that be to make the waffles–which had quickly sold out at the commenter’s local stores–a regular item.

The fan described these waffles as “not very big, but surprisingly filling,” and added that “they are very sweet though due to the sugar pearls in them and the maple flavor.” Unlike standard frozen waffles, these are thicker Belgian-style waffles, which also are traditionally made with crunchy sugar pearls in the batter.

There's also a chocolate version of the waffle, which had some fans in the comments. "My son loves the chocolate version. He's gon [sic] be so sad when it's gone," said one Redditor.

In the comments, there was also some chatter about the waffles being quite sweet, which got us thinking that these could also be a great base for a waffle sundae, particularly the chocolate version.

If you're working this product into your grocery budget, note that per Aldi’s website, a 5-count box of these waffles (either flavor) costs $3.99.
