Netflix has revealed that the fifth and final season of their hit series, You, is now in production.

Cracking a Gossip Girl-adjacent joke, Netflix dropped a photo of Penn Badgley on the streets of Manhattan with the caption "Spotted: Joe Goldberg in New York City."

Seen outside of Bleecker St Station, Badgley rejoins the cast for what Netflix has confirmed to be the final season of You.

Based on Caroline Kepnes' best-selling novel, You follows a charming and obsessive young man who takes extreme measures to cross paths with the people he becomes transfixed by.

Badgley plays the aforementioned charmer, Joe Goldberg, and has been joined across seasons by actors such as Victoria Pedretti, Tati Gabrielle, Ambyr Childers, Elizabeth Lail, Charlotte Ritchie, James Scully, Saffron Burrows, Luca Padovan and Jenna Ortega.

Sera Gamble acts as showrunner on the series created by herself and Greg Berlanti. The duo also serve as executive producers on the show, joined by Gina Girolamo, Leslie Morgenstein, Sarah Schechter, and Michael Foley.

Season four was released in February and March 2023, but there is yet to be an official announcement on when You season five will hit the streaming service. However - with cameras officially rolling - it shouldn't be much longer until the return of Joe Goldberg.
