  • When does season 2 of A Million Little Things return to ABC, you ask? The show premieres on September 26.

  • So far, only a teaser trailer has been released—and we'll keep you posted with updates as they come.

ABC's A Million Little Things premiered on Wednesday nights last fall and it was eventually pushed to Thursday night's famed #ThankGodItsThursday lineup, which helped it get a little more popular. Whether you watched it all live or eventually caught up on Hulu, fans are obsessed with the show, a drama that follows a group of friends struggling after one of them commits suicide. Dark, we know, but it's sparked serious conversations about mental health.

Despite a bit of a resolution to the plot line at the end of season 1, we're eagerly awaiting season 2 after that twist—you know the one I'm talking about. Thankfully, ABC not only renewed the show, but has also announced the season 2 premiere date. Grab some popcorn and get ready to revisit these characters.

When does A Million Little Things season 2 premiere?

ABC's website has the premiere date set for Thursday, September 26th at 9 p.m. ET and 8 p.m. CST. Luckily, you can rewatch the first season online while you count down the days.

Who’s in the cast of A Million Little Things season 2?

All of your favorites from the main cast are returning. This includes David Giuntoli (Eddie Saville), Romany Malco (Rome Howard), Allison Miller (Maggie Bloom), Christina Moses (Regina Howard), Grace Park (Katherine Kim), James Roday (Gary Mendez), and Stephanie Szostak (Delilah Dixon). And yes, Ron Livingston returns once more as Jon Dixon.

Is there a trailer?

Sort of. There's a teaser promo that's only 45 seconds long.

Where did last season leave off?

A lot of heart-wrenching moments and tissues were required during the season 1 finale of A Million Little Things. We got the results of Maggie's pathology reports. With her successful surgery and her cancer being officially in remission, she and Gary can move forward. We also saw a glimpse into what's next for Katherine and Eddie (more on that later). And, of course, we learned the truth about Barbara Morgan and her relationship to Jon.

But Gary, who spent the season trying to solve the mystery of Barbara Morgan, did not get the solace he had hoped for after fully understanding why Jon died by suicide. Although the friends now have a bigger understanding of Jon's decision, the answers were not satisfying.

What will season 2 be about?

Season 1 revolved around the mystery of Jon's suicide. Season 2 will tackle a new mystery, but ABC's top boss Karey Burke recently told TV Line that she won't be sharing any details about it—at least not yet.

It's possible that the new storyline will involve the huge cliffhanger left between Katherine and Eddie, who signed the divorce papers just before sharing an honest conversation and (gasp!) a kiss. Katherine never filed the divorce papers, so is the couple heading towards a reconciliation?

Any spoilers out there?

Again, there is very little to know about season 2 at the moment. However, we do know that Katherine and Eddie's end scene picks up right where we left off in season 1. In fact, show creator DJ Nash told Deadline that as soon as they were done with that season 1 scene, he handed Giuntoli and Park a script for the rest of the scene in season 2, which they filmed then and there.

Nash also told TV Guide that he plans to completely "flip the cards" on Rome's storyline. "In the second season, we see him help other people in the way he needed help," he said.

Meanwhile, in a conversation with Entertainment Weekly, Nash also hinted that season 2 will include Rome's relationship with Gina because the two may want different things from marriage. In addition, season 2 will address Maggie and Gary's feelings post-cancer, and Katherine and Eddie's relationship as his affair does or does not get revealed.

What are fans saying?

Despite a rocky start when A Million Little Things first premiered on Wednesday nights, the show has seen a gain in popularity after joining #TGIT. Unsurprisingly, fans are excited for the return of the show. In fact, comments on the Instagram announcement of the show's season 2 premiere day are flooded with celebrations.

Most fans are tagging friends who are surely fans of the show, too, while others are screaming in excitement with comments like "Omg yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" and "DUDE!!It starts the same as Grey’s!!!" and "we have two months!!" Thankfully, the wait will soon be over.
