Scorpio Horoscope 2021: What the Stars Predict for You This Year

Welcome to 2021, Scorpio. Yes, 2020 is over, but that doesn't mean that this year will be a walk in the park. We need to heal as a society, and for you, dear Scorpio, it's time to try and let go of those abandonment issues. Your goal this year is to become more emotionally stable and independent. This doesn't mean that you can't have relationships, both romantic and platonic, but it does mean that it's time to try to work out issues with trust and jealousy and start realizing how strong you are on your own. 

Innovative Uranus will be in Taurus all year, which is stationed in your 7th House of Partnership. The planet squares off with responsible Saturn in Aquarius, in your 4th House of Home and Family, on Wednesday, February 17, again on Monday, June 14, and finally on Friday, December 24. This clash between the two planets only occurs every 22 and a half years and signifies power struggles between conservative politics and more progressive, modern thinking. There are myriad implications of this transit; as a society, we will at least attempt to address the pandemic, systemic racism, and the current state of the economy. But what does this mean for you?

Rather than looking out for signs that someone isn't into you, start looking out for signs that they are. 

Let's talk about your love life. Even when things are going wonderfully, you can get caught up in unhealthy behavior sometimes. It's a defense mechanism meant to guard against abandonment, but there are moments when you can be your own worst enemy. Obsessively stalking your partner's ex will only fill your mind with insecure thinking, and whether you mean to or not, this can cause you to sabotage a relationship. Your partner is a big part of your life, Scorpio. It's not going to work if you don't trust them. 

Lucky Jupiter is in Aquarius and your 4th House of Home and Family for most of the year. Echoing the themes above, this transit has the potential to sprinkle glitter all over your love life, leveling up relationships, and creating bonds with long-term potential. So please, rather than looking out for signs that someone isn't into you, start looking out for signs that they are.

Knowledgeable Jupiter briefly leaves Aquarius and enters Pisces in your 5th House of Pleasure from Thursday, May 13 to Wednesday, July 28, before stationing there for a year beginning on Tuesday, December 28. These periods can be filled with emotionally and physically fulfilling sex, but only if you let good things come to you. Put that stinger away and learn to tell the difference between a real and imagined threat. 

There are three Mercury retrogrades to watch out for this year. The first occurs in Aquarius from Saturday, January 30 to Saturday, February 20. The communication planet goes retrograde again in Gemini from Saturday, May 29 to Tuesday, June 22. The third and final Mercury retrograde of this year occurs in Libra from Monday, September 27 to Monday, October 18. You may be tempted to give into obsessive or self-destructive behavior during this time. Do you really want to reconnect with an ex or are you just trying to make your current partner jealous? Look inward for the real reasons for your actions, and try to find a healthy way to act on your desires.

There are four eclipses ready to shake things up in 2021, Scorpio. A lunar eclipse on Wednesday, May 26 in Sagittarius kicks things off followed by a solar eclipse in Gemini on Thursday, June 10 in your 8th House of Sex. Consider developing a meditation practice, starting therapy, or both to learn mindfulness techniques to help you stay calm on eclipse day. Sex is so much better when you're in the moment rather than stuck in your head. 

Your season begins on Saturday, October 23, Scorpio. Get naked, act spooky, and don't forget to plan an epic Halloween costume. Even if we are still practicing social distancing at that point, this is your favorite holiday, and you'll want a creative way to celebrate. At the very least you can post some scary thirst traps on Instagram. The final two eclipses of the year take place at the end of your season with a lunar eclipse on Friday, November 19 in Taurus, and a solar eclipse on Saturday, December 4 in Sagittarius. 

When you feel good about yourself, you're less likely to fall back into unhealthy behaviors. 

It's worth writing down the date of every eclipse, as they can bring drama, and it's good to have a head's up. For you, the final eclipse of the year — the solar eclipse on Saturday, December 4 in Sagittarius, and your 2nd House of Finances — could bring money. Astrology can't promise income (especially not in this economy) but if there was a day to expect more cash flow, it's this one. If financial opportunities come your way, take them. 

Finally, lover planet Venus goes retrograde on Sunday, December 19, in hardworking Capricorn and your 3rd House of Communication. When it comes to dating, communication is everything. When Venus goes retrograde, we get a chance to re-do mistakes in our love life. For you, this means using more direct communication with your partner. You want lasting love.
