It’s been a big week for Taylor Swift, who not only dropped her 11th studio album The Tortured Poets Department (a surprise double album, no less), but also gave Swifties a short glimpse into her life, including her pickleball skills.

In a 15-second YouTube Shorts post on Friday, the “Anti-Hero” singer showed viewers what she’s been up to on her break from the Eras tour (which you can still get tickets to here), along with clips with her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs NFL star Travis Kelce. She also sparked a viral TikTok challenge inspired by the first single “Fortnight” off the album and collaboration with Post Malone. The “Fortnight” challenge is a trend where users share clips of 14 personal, everyday moments, and Swift spotlighted some of her best outfits as of late, notably a pirouette skirt in lavender from Popflex while she was the pickleball court — which just so happened to be designed by a Swiftie.

Popflex is a athletic wear brand designed by Cassey Ho, an entrepreneur and former pilates instructor who was ecstatic to see the Grammy-winner donning her sporty-chic look. The skirt surged in popularity following the #ForAFortnightChallenge video, selling out just 15 minutes after the post went up. The Pirouette Skort comes in 11 shades to choose from, but Swift paired the very “Lavender Haze”-core colorway with a white top and brown sunglasses while swinging her her Chiefs-themed racket.

The ruffled tennis-style skirt is priced at $60 and comes in size XXS-3X, and while it was sold out before, the good news is that Popflex is accepting limited pre-orders on the lavender version (other colorways are available to buy now) with plans to ship in July.

“CANT MOVE CANT THINK ABSOLUTELY DEAD 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 MY IDOL MY INSPIRATION @taylorswift YOU MADE MY WILDEST DREAM COME TRUE TONIGHT AND I WILL NEVER EVER EVER FORGET APRIL 19, 2024,” Ho captioned her Instagram post.

The skirt itself is currently rated at 4.7 out of 5, with reviews praising the fit, comfort, and of course, the twirl factor. It boasts a three-tiered, petticoat-inspired circle skirt with an adjustable drawstring on the high waistband for comfort. Bonus: there’s a built-in pair of biker shorts with pockets underneath to store your phone or your keys.

Ho’s ties to Swift actually go further back then some fans might realize — the “August” singer had posted in 2019 about completing the Blogilates 100 Day Ab Challenge (which inspired Ho to create another “Midnights”-themed update), and back in 2019, Ho had actually gone to Swift’s LA home with her sister as part of the 1989 Secret Listening Sessions. Therefore, while we can’t confirm 100 percent certainty that the “lilac short skirt” in the lyrics to “imgonnagetyouback” (“the one that fits me like skin”) is referring to the Popflex pirouette skirt, it wouldn’t be surprising.
