There's no question that Alicia Keys is a musical legend. Her powerful songs have played in homes around the world since the early 2000s. And now, she wants to help fill your home with something other than music. The superstar and philanthropist just released her Amazon Wish List and it's filled with affordable yet stylish home finds. “Like music, interior design is a form of self-expression,” she says.
From home accents to furniture favorites, Keys' top picks are steeped in glamour. Each piece is exactly the sort of cool modernism you might expect to see in the icon's home. "As a mom of two, creating spaces where I can comfortably spend time with my family is important," she says.
Most pieces feature gold accents with unique geometric designs, like a set of chic planters or a set of metallic starburst wall decor. The singer also appears to have a love of green. Her list spotlights several inky green items, like a jacquard throw pillow (which you can currently get a 10% coupon for!), and a green velvet shell chair.
Perhaps one of the most enticing things about the musician's wish list is how affordable most items are. One such piece is a tufted velvet sofa with gold legs, which you can snag for under $1,000. A similar green velvet sofa, which is listed at $1,660, also graces the wish list. There are also several modern desk options (perfect for WFH!) that are under $200 and even more chair options to go with them, one of which is listed for $120.
Of course, Keys' list isn't just about stylish finds. The singer also had fun adding items like a Cuisinart ice-cream machine (yum!), Bluetooth sunglasses, and a Tibetan singing bowl among other fun finds.
As part of her partnership with Amazon Home, the philanthropist also got to celebrate a "Hometown Hero" and special education teacher, Susanna, by surprising her with a complete home makeover, which is what initially inspired her must-have list. "Susanna’s family experienced hardships with both their previous and current homes, so Amazon transformed their home—inside and out," says the brand.
