Score Major Savings on Flights and Hotels With Southwest's Vacation Sale — When to Book

The sale must be booked by 6 p.m. CT on Oct. 6.

Travelers hoping to plan an epic winter getaway can save big thanks to Southwest Vacation’s semi-annual sale offering up to $250 off flight and hotel packages.

The sale, which must be booked by 6 p.m. CT on Oct. 6, is valid for travel through June 3, 2024, according to the airline. The sale is available for vacation packages to popular destinations across the United States — including Hawaii — to Mexico, Jamaica, the Dominican Republic, and more.

Travelers flying around the U.S. can save $75 on flight and hotel packages costing $500 to $999, save $100 on packages costing $1,000 to $1,499, and save $125 on packages costing $1,500 or more by using the promo code “VACATION125.”

Those who want to head to an international destination or to Hawaii can save $150 on packages costing $500 to $999, save $200 on packages costing $1,000 to $1,499, and save $250 on packages costing $1,500 or more by using the promo code “VACATION250.”

Deals are available from cities across the U.S., including Dallas, Denver, Atlanta, Baltimore, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, and more.

A one-day advance purchase is required, and blackout dates may apply to hotel offers.

Travelers who book a trip with Southwest Vacations can receive “exclusive perks,” including complimentary transfers and amenities like complimentary massages, an in-room Champagne breakfast, discounts on meals, complimentary day beds, and more. These amenities vary by hotel.

The semi-annual sale comes as Southwest is in the midst of upgrading its onboard experience by installing new technology like USB A and USB C power ports at every seat and offering better in-flight Wi-Fi connections. The airline also recently made the boarding experience better by allowing travelers who purchase a Wanna Get Away ticket — the airline’s base fare — to fly same-day standby for free.

Last year, Southwest also introduced new Wanna Get Away Plus fares, which come with perks like allowing customers to transfer eligible unused flight credits to someone for future use.
