Score Free Fries At McDonald’s Every Friday Through The End Of The Year

The burger chain is rewarding app users with free medium fries alongside any $1 purchase.

Whether you celebrate Friday, Fry-Day, or Fri-Yay—we’ve got some news fresh from the fryer that you’ll want to hear.

Burger giant McDonald’s is famous for decades of Happy Meals, seasonal sweets, stunts, and incomparably flaky apple pie—a beloved dessert born in a Knoxville, Tennessee franchise back in the late 1960s.

Having accrued fans all over the globe—and possibly in outer space, at this point—McDonald’s has turned toward rewarding customers through its digital app. One of the chain’s recent promotions has us even more excited about making it to the weekend: Free Fries Friday.

According to an announcement on their website, McDonald’s will be rewarding guests with a free medium French fries with any $1 minimum purchase through the McDonald’s app on Fridays through the end of 2023. That means you have 10 weeks of free French fries waiting for you at participating McDonald’s—about 2.5 pounds of free fries, as USA Today reported. Need a suggestion to meet that $1 order minimum? Opt for some of the best sweet tea (and fountain soda) we’ve ever sipped.

To claim your part of this free-French-fry-frenzy, go to the Deals tab within the McDonald’s app, select the “Free Fries Friday Deal,” and tap “Add Deal To Mobile Order.” You’ll then pay through the app and check-in at the restaurant to snag your fries at the counter, curbside, or in the drive-thru. The deal can be used once per Friday.

If you need to download the app and register for MyMcDonald’s Rewards, you can find more information here and earn a free 10-piece Chicken McNuggets with your first app order.

Free fries sound like the perfect accompaniment to some Spicy Grilled Chicken Wings if you’d like to opt for an easy side to your Friday night dinner. Don’t forget the dipping sauces!
