School Bus Driver Steps In to Braid Hair of Little Girl Whose Mother Passed Away

After 11-year-old Isabella Pieri’s mother passed away, her school bus driver Tracy Dean offered to braid her hair for her before school. She gladly accepted the kind offer.

When 11-year-old Isabella Pieri's mother passed away two years ago from a rare illness, her father stepped in to do the job, and though his efforts were valiant, the results were apparently not quite up to par. Though he did his best, Pieri's hair was never exactly how she wanted it to look. That's when school bus driver Tracy Dean stepped in to help out, according to Yahoo Lifestyle.

As reported by KLS TV, such kindness is not exactly rare for Dean, as she quite frequently helps students with their hair before they get to school. It's not uncommon to find her brushing their hair, smoothing down frizz, or working her magic on a braid or two. She told KLS TV, "You treat them like your own kids, you know."

Dean started doing this after her own breast cancer diagnosis. She had to think about what would happen to her own children if they were to grow up without her, and as such, she has started treating the kids she takes care of every morning with a little extra bit of care. Yahoo Lifestyle reports that she's become somewhat of a second mom for Pieri, who is always excited to see her in the morning. Dean frequently braids her hair, often in double braids with a pink flower accessory.

Pieri's father, Philip Pieri, has said he's grateful for the help. “Tracy didn’t have to step up, but she stepped up to help out. I was amazed."
