Anyone who’s raised (or even met, TBH) a toddler boy knows that they can be, um, a handful. And it sounds like Scarlett Johansson, whose son Cosmo is now fully in the toddler stage, is experiencing that firsthand.

Johansson was in the middle of an interview with Entertainment Tonight when she was asked how she’s “tackling the ‘terrible twos,” and she had the perfect response that any toddler parent will be able to relate to.

“The ‘terrible twos’ are more like tackling me, like actually, physically,” she said.

That’s a big change from when Cosmo was an infant, and Johansson could bring him to work with her. She previously told People magazine that she would bring him to set while she was filming her recent Wes Anderson flick, Asteroid City.

“I actually wasn’t popular, it was just the baby,” she said at the time. “People were excited to see the baby, not me. They’re like, ‘Oh, it’s you. Where’s baby?'”

Scarlett Johansson’s admission about the “terrible twos” comes after her appearance on Monday at the God’s Love We Deliver’s Golden Heart Awards, where she said on the red carpet that parenting Cosmo during the toddler stage has “definitely been an adjustment,” especially since her husband, Colin Jost, headed back to work at Saturday Night Live once the WGA strike ended.

“It’s definitely an adjustment in the household,” she explained. “That schedule is so crazy, but it’s always exciting to see.”

But while things are probably pretty hectic at home for the mom-of-two (who is also a huge movie star, to boot), Johansson was all smiles when she had a chance to brag on her husband and his work on SNL.

“I’m really excited for all the writers and all the performers at SNL,” she said. “They’ve been desperate to get back to work doing what they love. Those guys are incredible. And we need them now more than ever.”
