Scarlett Johansson and Colin Jost Continue Their Red Carpet Streak at 2020 Oscars
Scarlett Johansson celebrated her two nominations at this evening's Oscars with the best accessory by her side: fiancé Colin Jost. The couple cemented their status as the MVP couple of awards season after adorable outings at the Golden Globes and Screen Actors Guild Awards earlier this year. Johansson looked stunning in a cream gown, while Jost stood out in a black tie suit.
Johansson is nominated for two statues at this year's Academy Awards—Best Actress for Marriage Story and Best Supporting Actress for Jojo Rabbit. Jost has played the role of supportive partner throughout awards season, and the two showed off some PDA on several red carpets.
The Oscar nominee has also stopped by Jost's workplace in recent months. He's head writer and Weekend Update co-host of Saturday Night Live, where the couple originally met. Johansson stopped by to host the December 15 episode of the show, where she hilariously referenced their relationship. During her monologue she quipped, “The show is bad, what are they gonna do, fire my fiancé? Oh no, what will we do without his paycheck?” But by the end of her opening remarks, she sweetly kissed Jost and said, “I just want to say that this place means so much to me. I have so many friends here and I met the love of my life here. Merry Christmas.”
Jost and Johansson's red carpet reign began in April 2018 with their red carpet debut at the Avengers: Infinity War premiere. The couple confirmed their engagement in May 2019.
