Why do I need this?

It's a hybrid of memory foam and coils — the best of both mattress worlds. While straight-up memory foam mattresses might be popular right now, they're not for everyone; hot sleepers often need more airflow than memory foam can provide. On the other hand, coil mattresses can lack the cush we crave. This Ashley mattress brings together all the right elements. It has three layers of foam padding atop supportive coils, for a medium-firm feel Goldilocks herself would love.

While this isn't the kind of ultra-soft mattress your body sinks into, it does adapt to your body's contours — the flexible coils are responsive — while providing pressure-relieving stability. And according to the brand, it's suited for all sleep types, whether you tend to rest on your back, stomach or side.
